  I thought NOBODY would ever rebuild or live in Babylon?....but.....

  check the last city here....i googled "babylon, iraq population'....and other things on the city, and one archaeological site wrote that many archaeologists urged sadam to not build and grow modern babylon directly over many of the old ruins....but he did it anyway.

  i saw a news item about their new mayor!.....jw's used to say this could never ever happen.

  is this indeed basically the same city?....only 90 miles south of baghdad?...................oompa.

  Russell Not a Mason!

  Russell was not registered in a Mason Hall books so one can conclude that he was not a Free Mason. The Illuminati did not have to register and they at one time were part of the FreeMasons.

  Who is responsible for stating that he was not a Mason? a Bible Student, WTBTS, or Free Mason Society? Let me guess the FreeMasons!

  The only thing they can say is there is no proof that he was a Mason because they could not find his name on any of their records!

  That only proves he did not sign his name in the books as we know him as Charles Taze Russell. Big deal! I bet there were a lot of higher Mason that did not sign in as lodge members. They could have arrived early and was not noticed.

  Find me a Mason whose name was not on the books?

  Today, I went into an antique store and found a dictionary called the Golden Dawn with many of the same symbols and why of thinking. Ancient Rites! Triangle with an eye!

  There is no such thing as a waste of time when you find WTBTS with symbols on them. Let's not forget to mention some WT with their weird explanation about Solomon's temple at the end of some study article that had nothing to do with the temple. It's like finding a little secret insight! and stuff that makes you gasp.

  Symbols links Russell with dabbling into ancient false gods that Daniel refused to bow down and worship, yet WTBTS covers up these little facts.

  It makes me mad and sick! so a little argument does us all some good. We become more aware and it makes us think about secret societies and the things they have in common. They were not all just clean innocent scientist hiding away doing some research during the reformation. Above all it makes us all look and read the WT differently.

  What Is Your Worst Child Abuse Case Witnessed?

  in the 60s, i remember the book study at my mothers house!

  it was a shocker when a new bible study came in with his wife and their three children, one a new born.

  anyhow, we watched him beat the babies head with his fist.

  They forgot to listen for God's solutions, like call the police!

  No more cool aid(cute)

  They expect a 10 month old to sit on the chair with no toy or bottle, just a bible. If the poor little kid dropped the book it would not get it back and get a slap

  Wew that brought back bad memories, I can hear the hurt babies craying because slapped little hands and faces! Later, they said it was not good to slap children in the faces so many people stopped the faces and did their little legs.

  I knew this was coming! Here comes the elder giving his talk telling everyone they do not need to go out and buy that brand new car! while his brand new product is in the parking lot!

  After the meetings, it was always fun to go out into the parking lot and watch him drive away in his new expensive car and watch other JWs faces break!

  As is evidenced all around us today, it encourages rebellion against God's standards. It promotes "the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one's means of life."

  I see thru this article! How well do I remember the famous talks on Showy Display of Life!

  This is a real joke because most elders who gave Sunday talks and warned people to not go out and buy a new car or spend too much time on careers the showy display of ones life, would drive brand new cars! BMWs at the time. Also, if a newly doctorate or master degree person became a JW he would be more respected by elders than the person who was middle class uneducated working family man who did not display his means of life! That was most people at the Kingdom Hall. I suppose they were just rebellious people.

  Q 18. Jesus set what fine example for us, and how do we benefit by imitating him?

  Life is so rewarding when we copy Jesus' example!

  When our priorities are in order, possessions and pleasure are not our masters. Rather, they are servants, or tools, that help us worship Jehovah. And the more active we are in work that supports God's Kingdom. the less likely we are to he overcome by the spirit of the world.

  Here is what they mean!

  If you can drive a fancy new car to go out in service because it is a tool than it is not your master. But, if you drive a new car to go to work to provide for your family and not go out in service than it just a showy display and desire of the flesh! You are overcome by the spirit of the world!

  Once again it has nothing to do with Jesus! just cult talk!

  What about all those Free Mason symbols he had in his personal room at Bethel. The brothers told him to remove them because they were worried about losing members.

  Not all Mason registered in lodges.

  I will say he was a Mason along with most of the population at the time.

  The symbols on the books are also ancient symbols of false gods.

  Can you imagine them going door to door declaring God's Kingdom or proclaiming God's name with symbols of false gods! Wew!

  In the 60s, I remember the book study at my mothers house! It was a shocker when a new bible study came in with his wife and their three children, one a new born. Anyhow, we watched him beat the babies head with his fist. Afterwards, he would look at me and smile! I was a little girl in shock and was told to stay out of it. I did not stay out of it, I asked the pioneers what they were going to do about it! Anyhow, He also had beaten his older children who were about three and four. The elder's allowed the man and his wife to both get baptized. Can you imagine that! I lost my respect with the local Kingdom Hall at that time because this guy would beat his kids at the Kingdom Hall during meetings.

  Also, I remember asking a pioneer who was a nurse, what can anyone do about the problem? I guess they reported him to social workers, but at that time there was not much the social workers could do because no one actually saw the man abuse his children. Sisters went over to see if they could help the wife. One time the guy had just thrown the oldest son down two levels of stairs which had about 25 steps each level. The little boy survived with a broken arm and was black and blue. I guess he was trying to protect his mother. Pioneers reported it to the authorities but still not enough proof.

  The elders tried to help them with visiting pioneers who brought food, clothing, and prayers. Later, the elders told the pioneers to stay away from them because there was nothing they could do for them anymore, and people like that would eventually leave the meetings. Later, elders told him not to come back to the meetings because he was not willing to change.

  Anyhow, years later the older little boy lived the rest of his life in a mental health institution because he was brain damaged due to physical abuse. The baby grew up and was in the same place brain damaged but not as bad as the older child. Rumor had it that someone in the family took the girl and she had a normal life. I heard she became a nurse she was the middle child.

  Over the years, I saw that creepy man and his wife having lunch together downtown, but the wife was so gone that she was in a daze! I recalled the pioneers telling her story; prior to marrying her husband the wife had a worse life, and she claimed that he was the best thing that every happened to her and she would never leave him. She died from a heart attack and that man lived and had a longer life.

  Anyhow, if I ever mention this family to anyone in the my family they don’t want to ever talk about it! I guess it brings back old memories.

  Just thought I would share my whacky crazy Kingdom Hall! I think this was the worst case I ever saw at the Kingdom Hall.
